Brand Brief

Vela is a luxury candle brand that embodies sustainability, elegance, and mindful living. Crafted from natural soy wax and vegan ingredients, each candle is designed to elevate spaces with warmth and sophistication. Inspired by the flickering beauty of candlelight, Vela’s identity merges refined aesthetics with a commitment to eco-consciousness.

The Challenge

The goal was to create a visual identity that reflects Vela’s luxurious yet sustainable essence. The brand needed a sophisticated, modern design that conveys warmth, tranquility, and high-end appeal while aligning with eco-friendly values. The packaging and branding had to differentiate Vela in the competitive candle market, appealing to consumers who appreciate both beauty and sustainability.

Design Solution

To bring Vela’s essence to life, I developed:
Logo Design: A customized serif font, subtly inspired by the delicate sparkle of a flame, creating a refined and luxurious aesthetic.

Packaging Design: Gradient-colored boxes that reflect the soft glow of candlelight, with hues that correspond to each scent. The use of pastel tones adds a calming and sensory appeal.

Typography & Color Palette: A harmonious serif and sans-serif font pairing was chosen to balance elegance with modern minimalism. The soft, muted color palette mirrors the natural and soothing qualities of Vela’s fragrances.

Brand Collateral: A thank-you card and social media templates reinforcing the brand’s message of sustainability and mindful indulgence, with a gradient finish to maintain consistency with the packaging.

The result is a visually compelling brand that captures the serenity and sophistication of candlelight, appealing to those who seek beauty, quality, and sustainability in their home ambiance.
